About the Product

1.Most succulents need at least 4-6 hours of bright, direct sunlight per day to thrive.
2.Rotate your plants regularly so all sides get adequate light, preventing uneven growth.
3.Acclimate gradually: If moving a succulent from a shadier spot to a sunnier one, do it gradually to prevent sunburn.
4.The golden rule: Allow the soil to dry out completely between watering. Succulents store water in their fleshy leaves and stems, so they are susceptible to root rot if they sit in wet soil.
Water deeply: When you do water, water thoroughly until water drains out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot.
5.Avoid misting: Misting can encourage fungal growth and doesn’t provide enough water for the roots.
6.Succulents generally need more water during their active growing season (spring and summer) and significantly less during their dormant period (fall and winter), sometimes as little as once a month or less.
7.Signs of improper watering:
* Underwatering: Wrinkled, shriveled, or deflated leaves.
* Overwatering: Mushy, yellowing, translucent leaves that fall off easily.
8.Use a specialized cactus and succulent potting mix. These mixes are designed to drain quickly.
9.You can also create your own by mixing regular potting soil with perlite, pumice, or coarse sand (not play sand) to improve drainage and aeration. A good ratio is often 1 part potting soil to 1-2 parts grit (perlite/pumice/sand).
10.Fertilize once or twice during their active growing season (spring/summer) with a diluted, low-nitrogen fertilizer specifically for cacti and succulents.
11.Succulents generally don’t need frequent repotting.
12.Repot every 2-3 years, or when the plant becomes root-bound, using a slightly larger pot with fresh succulent mix.
